Mock Stock – Plant-Based Chicken stock substitute

I’m not a big fan of the taste of some of the Plant based stocks on the market.  And I liked the taste of soups or meals that I once used chicken stock in.  PPB, (pre plant-based) I made my own chicken stock from scratch.   I developed this spice blend to give a similar taste in soups or meals that I once used chicken stock in.

Mock Stock

  • Servings: 12-16
  • Difficulty: easy

Mock Stock (replacement for Chicken stock)

  • 1/2  cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • 1  1/2 Tbs Onion Powder
  • 1  1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1  1/2 tsp Cane Sugar
  • 1  1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Sage
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  1. Blend in a dry blender or food processor until powdery. Store in a dry, airtight container.
  2. Use 1 level teaspoon per cup of boiling water.

Yield: 1  1/2 cups of bouillon powder
